https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=487698 Summary: Speakers not woking on Dell E6400, headphones - normal Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Sound AssignedTo: tiwai@novell.com ReportedBy: vladimir.benken@gmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.7) Gecko/2009021910 Firefox/3.0.7 Hello! When installing OpenSUSE 11.1 x64 (x32 also tried) I've faced to the following problem: the sound (idt 92hd71b7x chip) is set up by default is not working. If I'll add a string 'options snd-hda-intel model=laptop' to /etc/modprobe.d/sound file it's changing to normal. But after updating the system the situation falls to the same: speakers working normal, channels are not mixed. But I can't force the speakers to work! Which option can be used for that? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install OpenSUSE 11.1 x64 or x32 2. Update 3. Try the speakers Actual Results: Tried lots of variants, including: http://en.opensuse.org/Alsa-update#openSUSE-11.1 http://forums.opensuse.org/pre-release-beta/399731-beta-5-no-sound-3.html http://forums.opensuse.org/hardware/409989-dell-e6500-latitude-sound-issue-o... Expected Results: I hope these speakers will work! -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
