This causes a 120 seconds timeout. Therefore zypper gets a 2 minutes waiting time for each repository description file. I have attached a modified src RPM which builds on openSuSE 11.0 x86_64. It contains an additional patch "fix_header.patch" which contains the actual bug fix.
