OK, so just replace these files in kernel-firmware.rpm for openSUSE 13.1 should suffice?
Yup, at least for the 7260 this fixes things (I tried out this fix a couple of days before writing this report), so my guess is that it will be no different for the 3160 (although I don't have that one handy). Looking at the comments from in the above git-commit message, suggests that both suffer from the same problems.
If so, you can submit the fix update easily by yourself in OBS.
That would be a first for me, so skip the 'easily' part here... :-)
Simply branch openSUSE:13.1/kernel-firmware package, fix the files, update the changelog and do submitreq.
I don't have the opportunity to spend a couple of hours figuring out how that works, so that would delay things considerably.
If it's difficult, let me know. I can submit the fix, too.
It would be faster for someone more used to the OBS system to fix this, otherwise I'm afraid it might be released in the next version of openSUSE already before I'd have time to figure this out. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
