[Bug 1020909] Big number of ghc* build failures in openSUSE:Factory
http://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1020909 http://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1020909#c19 --- Comment #19 from Michal Suchanek <msuchanek@suse.com> ---
1) the package is obsolete Package is following LTS haskell -> use older version of brick or d:l:h:lts:next
I am interested in one current package which I use and not in pulling in whole devel project which would happen due to strict dependencies of haskell packages, no doubt.
2) it is built only for x86_64
and this is why exists devel:languages:haskell:next, all build correcty also on >> pppc64le <<< ( SLE12SP2 Backports aka packagehub) , if you are
It does for me as well, thanks
interested we can enable also build for Factory_PPC
I am not particularly interested in running that. 1) I much prefer Leap ports which do not have so much update churn 2) I found that the machine I currently use as footstool can only do ppc64 and not ppc64le (which means Factory or nothing). That said, building it for the sake of testing might be useful.
All dependencies for 'brick' are build correctly.
As they are for me on !ppc || !factory. And most are already part of the distribution, thanks.
Plus please read https://en.opensuse.org/Portal:Packaging.
Not sure what I am supposed to get from there. I uploaded a few packages created with cabal-rpm (with only a minor glitch) into OBS so that I have them easily available. I do not ask that the packages should be immediately merged into every distribution or whatnot. I merely ask that cabal-rpm be fixed to create the packages without glitch so that they build right away and that the interpreter in factory works correctly. This bug looked similar to the error I see but since it's something different and already fixed direct your future comments on non-buildability of ghc packages in factory ppc into bug 1024026. Thanks -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
