OpenSUSE 10.2 (kernel-default-2.6.18.8-0.1 / udftools-1.0.0b3-34). Each udf mount emits to dmesg the following: pktcdvd: Fixed packets, 32 blocks, Mode-2 disc pktcdvd: enabled write caching on pktcdvd0 pktcdvd: Max. media speed: 4 pktcdvd: write speed 4x pktcdvd: 590528kB available on disc UDF-fs INFO UDF 0.9.8.1 (2004/29/09) Mounting volume 'LinuxUDF', timestamp 2007/05/08 05:14 (1e5c) I can umount and mount repeatedly without issue. Can you confirm problem still exists on latest 10.2 update kernel. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=231040 ------- Comment #3 from ulrich@holeschak.de 2007-05-20 13:01 MST ------- I can't test any more with the original SuSE 10.2 Kernels (because is have changed too many things in my system), but if have tested with the current factory kernel 2.6.21-8. Same problem. Then i have exchanged my relativly old cd-burner (6 years old i think) against a new dvd recorder and the problem has gone. I don't think that the cd-burner is defective (because it's working great in all other cases), but there may be an incompatibility. So i think it's not really a problem, the recoder is too old te be a reference for such things ...
