compiz-manager --replace which: no fusion-icon in (/home/robert/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/bin/X11:/usr/X11R6/bin:/usr/games:/opt/kde3/bin:/usr/lib/jvm/jre/bin:/usr/lib/mit/bin:/usr/lib/mit/sbin) Checking for Xdmx: not present. Checking for Xgl: not present. Detected PCI ID for VGA: 05:00.0 0300: 10de:0622 (rev a1) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller]) Checking for texture_from_pixmap: present. Checking for non power of two support: present. Checking for Composite extension: present. Comparing resolution (1024x768) to maximum 3D texture size (8192): Passed. Checking for nVidia: present. Checking for FBConfig: present. Checking for Xgl: not present.
Using nvidia driver, aiglx, xorg 7.3. After removing ~/.config/compiz directory I'm getting message (under ccsm) that I need xgl plugin. Please let me know what else do You need (logs). Enabling blur windows plugin crashes it, can't start jpeg plugin, probably some more. And I can't start emerald (removed ~/.emerald). I can confirm activating jpeg plugin also crashes compiz, bug is already open for neg plugin(bug #432313). Emerald issue is also reported separately(bug #431846). Default profile from simple-ccsm and keeping blur, neg, jpeg plugins should make compiz work well.
