baobab:  "Move to trash" moves files to ~/.Trash which is not used anymore

So I was running out of disk space and run baobab to see what was going on. I
found a few things in my home dir that I didn't need. I right clicked on the
items and said "Move to trash". Then I went to my Desktop to empty trash but
nothing there. I found that "Move to trash" moves the file to the old Trash
location, which was ~./.Trash.
