I tried using a network install source of oS10.2 on a SLES10 Dom0 with latest updates (both x86_64). The thing I saw happen was that as soon as the installation tried to bring up a new window, that window disappeared and the domain crashed. This is similar to some bugs that Charles is working on so I'll assign to him and we'll see if the problem goes away when the one acting similarly is fixed. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

I just installed openSUSE 10.2 beta 2 from DVD ISO on SLES 10 + updates + xen-3.0.3_1174 on 64 bit hardware. Worked fine. Beta 1 domU failed to install, but that was due to installer problems; there was no crash. https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=215617 ------- Comment #7 from lbendixs@novell.com 2006-11-10 10:12 MST ------- Must have a 3.0.3 Hypervisor in Dom0 in order to run a 3.0.3 guest. #.0.2 Guests will run on a newer hypervisor but not vice versa. (i.e. newer xen kernels will not run on older hypervisors.) This is due to changes occurring in the hypervisor which make guests not compatible with older hypervisors. A workaround might be to update your SLES10 Dom0 with the xen bits from openSuse 10.2 as Ccoffing implied in comment #5. I cannot reproduce this if Dom0 has a 3.0.3 hypervisor. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

And IMHO we should do that, first because people probably expect this to work, and second its nice for testing. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
