Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. set up kopete with yahoo account on two machines that have a webcam 2. on machine 1, send instant message to user on machine 2 to make sure you can communicate with the other user 3. then right click on the user in kopete and select "Invite to view webcam" 4. the first time you do this, you might get a warning saying that you need to have Jasper installed; go to yast and install this 5. other person's machine has no response from you 6. then try to view the other person's webcam Actual Results: no response when trying to invite user to view my webcam "No webcam image received" message when trying to view other user's webcam Expected Results: would be able to have other user see my webcam and be able to see theirs -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

If not you need to get this upstream in order to get a fix. You could also try to disable your firewall and make sure that if you use a router it forwards the needed ports correctly. http://en.opensuse.org/Bugs:KDE#Report_at_bugzilla.novell.com_or_bugs.kde.or... -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

I have a router but I have no problems with ports there. As far as if it is opensuse specific, I would guess that it is not specific to opensuse but to kde and kopete and yahoo. I have only tested this on opensuse that is the only distro I use. When you saying getting it upstream, do you mean the kde bugzilla? -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

You should add the link to the upstream bugreport to this bug and the URL field and reopen it when there is a patch available which can be included in openSUSE. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
