[Bug 502580] New: NON Automated Installation No-longer supports USB Mouse Click on NEXT after Network Connection is Complete
http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=502580 Summary: NON Automated Installation No-longer supports USB Mouse Click on NEXT after Network Connection is Complete Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: alpha096@virginbroadband.com.au QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- Created an attachment (id=291210) --> (http://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=291210) yast2 logs - Hope this helps User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-GB; rv:1.9.0.9) Gecko/2009041500 SUSE/3.0.9-0.1.1 Firefox/3.0.9 During Installation a USB Mouse click can be used to activate the Next or Back controls of GUI. After the Network has been configured, the mouse click does not always activate the Next control. The user needs to hit enter on the default action of next. If the default action is not on the Next Control, I doubt if a user will be able to change this via Tab. - Its very nasty for those totally dependant on GUI AND their Mouse. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Start Normal Non-Automated Installation 2. Proceed through the Installation using the USB Mouse click on the Next control. 3. After the Network Connection has been established the action of the Mouse Click does not always activate the Next or Back Controls on the GUI Screen Actual Results: User has to use Enter, when it is on the default Next or Back Control Expected Results: The Mouse should be able to click all the way through. Personally I hate a mouse and always prefer the keyboard for just about everything, BUT in the land of the GUI we cannot no longer do this. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

This bug has been open since October 2009 and still exists today this bug as a feature and then decide its how this bug in 11.0 - You wonder why I have little confidence in the Problem Manager!!!! Bug Closed reason - If its still unresolved since 2009 then its not about to be fixed. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
