Since the kernel update a couple of days ago, I have found that the audio
output from such applications as Firefox and Amarok intermittently fails to
work. No error message is given, but sounds from the operating system including
startup and shutdown sounds are played normally.

Kernel = 2.6.27.23-0.1

Workaround is to log out and back in, retesting each time. Usually resolves on
second or third attempt.
