I cannot reproduce this any longer, which might be related to the updated X.Org packages of
http://software.opensuse.org/download/xorg72/openSUSE_10.2/
Could you check if the problem still occurs with these packages?
will those packages (real 7.2 in general) make it into the online update (YOU) archive for 10.2 in any/reasonable time (say during January) ? I'm asking to decide if I want to make backups of (almost) everything before testing to be able to roll back, or if I'll just install and keep them because that won't interfere with YOU in the not too far future... -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

any chance that there will be a online update/fix for 10.2 some day ? thanks in advance! -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=231252 ------- Comment #9 from sndirsch@novell.com 2007-03-08 08:17 MST ------- I can reproduce this problem on 10.2, but not with 10.3 Alpha or 10.2 with current X.Org packages. Currently I don't plan to investigate this issue and release any updates. Maybe you could use Xephyr instead? This seems to work on openSUSE 10.2. Just checked this. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

please check bug #235320 again, Xephyr is still broken for 64 bit! "fixing" Xnest on x86_64 by messing around with 32bit Xephyr isn't really cool :-( mixing 32 and 64 bit binaries from xorg-x11-server is not really an option e.g. the next online update for that RPM would clobber the 32bit Xephyr again... IMHO at least one of Xnest and Xepyr should work for 64 bit, but better both of them;-) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=231252 ------- Comment #11 from sndirsch@novell.com 2007-03-09 01:59 MST ------- Sorry, I forgot about Bug #235320 and tested Xephyr only on 32bit. Yes, installing the 32bit Xephyr to the regular location won't work. I'll investigate the 64bit Xephyr problem. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
