[Bug 457064] New: Why must beagled run all of the time?
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=457064 Summary: Why must beagled run all of the time? Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: RC 1 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: GNOME AssignedTo: bnc-team-gnome@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: bwhiteley@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Development Ever since installing 11.1, my computer runs a lot hotter and a lot noisier than before. If sitting idle (as far as the UI is concerned), my gnome system monitor shows that the cpu is fully utilized. When I hit a key or move the mouse, the cpu returns to being mostly idle. If I sneak up on the computer, by logging in via ssh from a different host, and run top, I see that it is always beagled that is using > 90% of the cpu. Why must beagled always be doing this? I've been running 11.1 for weeks now. Even if beagle had to start from scratch and index my entire filesystem, it should have finished long ago. The beagle logs don't indicate any recent activity. At the moment, my most recent beagle log is over 12 hours old, even though beagled was just recently hogging the CPU again. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
