Hm, I realized that latest udev seem to be incompatible to 2.6.32 kernel (gets stuck totally trying to upload firmware on this older kernel). This could boil down to a userspace bug. 11.3 -> lower prio and not much time right now. I will install 11.3 at some time and try to reproduce this, anything found out meanwhile (googling/testing/...) is appreciated.
