Specifically, I don't understand, how 'installation progress', 'hang on reboot' and 'Nvidia driver' are related. IHMO, the installation process shows a progress bar and gives you a time estimate. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

But during reboot/shutdwon the driver is installed in initramfs. This takes some time.
For whatever reasons you believe that. It is *not* true. If the machine hangs during reboot/shutdown it hangs for different reasons. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

When installing the graphics driver from nvidia, it takes a while. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

Setup the computer with Suse 42.1. Install all updates during installation. Then install the Nvidia driver via Yast2 from a repo. Driver are installed, then the computer needs to be restarted to get the driver to work. When the computer shuts down, the driver is installed in initramfs. This takes a while. Should be noted. Text at the end of installation of the driver displays: restart takes a moment (~30 seconds). Or similar. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
