Interesting that configure-printer needs gconf branding and a font... :( -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

the cups-autoconfig is a similiar issue. it's listed in the patterns, but is obsoleted by udev-configure-printer - either udev-configure-printer shouldn't obsolete it or also provide it and cups-autoconfig should be replaced in patterns.
cups-autoconfig should be removed from the patterns. Is this something you can handle? (I still have no clue on how to change patterns)
If I remove the obsolete, your test case falls back to:

udev-configure-printer doesn't need gconf directly. And it has not direct dependency on something depending on gconf as far as I know. How can I determine what's going on there? -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

patterns are here: http://www.gitorious.org/opensuse/patterns and still the easiest way to change them is attaching a diff to a Pattern bug :)
Ah, thanks!
So I'm fixing the patterns and I guess we should also drop cups-autoconfig if it's no longer maintained.
Was wondering about this, and my plan was to drop it in 11.3, but arguably, we can do this now. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
