[Bug 404419] New: No possibility to set /proc/fs/cifs/ LinuxExtensionsEnabled before mounting
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=404419 Summary: No possibility to set /proc/fs/cifs/LinuxExtensionsEnabled before mounting Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: sven.burmeister@gmx.net QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- I have a NAS drive which cannot be mounted during boot, because I have to set /proc/fs/cifs/LinuxExtensionsEnabled = 0 before doing so. Otherwise I get "mount error 20 = Not a directory". The only way I know to set this during boot is to add "echo 0 > /proc/fs/cifs/LinuxExtensionsEnabled" to boot.local, which does not work. I did not find any possibility to add this option to /etc/fstab, as a result I have to mount the storage manually on every boot, which is a bit annoying. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
