Assigning to projectM maintainer; VLC is only 'the messenger' here
- upstream projectM is dormant (at best) - projectM requires Desktop GL and fails to build with GLES Porting projectM to the OpenGL 3/GLES 2.0 subset would be a major effort, so not doable in a timely manner. projectM only provides a minor feature, i.e. some graphic effects for sound "visualisation" to VLC.
