The first issue is fixing the exact same problem on rv6xx (as i think i do have an easy solution for it already) :) The issue you are seeing is a rather unstable pixelclock on all r5xx mobilities. This is a known issue, which we will have to dig into deeper later on. Marking the bug as LATER. Also, thomas his laptop was performing rather poorly with respect to framebuffer access.
