https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=717959 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=717959#c0 Summary: Thinkpad - Brightness Control takes two steps Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.1 Version: Milestone 5 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: SuSE Other Status: NEW Severity: Minor Priority: P5 - None Component: Mobile Devices AssignedTo: mobile-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: user2304@web.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:6.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/6.0 Buttons for Brightness-Control FN+POS1 and FN+End trigger two events: Brightness up ibm/hotkey HKEY 00000080 00001010 video LCD0 00000086 00000000 Brightness down ibm/hotkey HKEY 00000080 00001011 video LCD0 00000087 00000000 In consequence, brightness is always changed by two steps. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Press FN+POS1 / FN+END Actual Results: 1. Brightness changes two steps every keypress Expected Results: 1. Brightness changes one step every keypress After configuring the thinkpad_acpi options in /etc/modprobe.d/50-thinkpad_acpi.conf with an alternative keymask (e.g. hotkey=0x080c), just one Keyevent is triggered: video LCD0 00000086 00000000 or video LCD0 00000087 00000000 and brightness is changed by one step each keypress. Unfortunately, by using this workaround, KDE won't show the brightness-level-onscreen-menu anymore. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

By using this workaround, KDE won't show the brightness-level-onscreen-menu anymore too. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
