You have to kill the application to close it. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Launch SmoltGui 2. Click on "Take me to my smolt profile page" Actual Results: The browser is launched but the program is now unresponsive. This seems to be a KDE bug. @KDE Team smolt uses the webbrowser module from python to open up that url. That spawns kfmclient openURL http://www.smolts.org.... which in the case that you set your default browser to firefox (menu->configure desktop->default applications->web browser) never returns.
