Questions - What directories do I backup so I can preserve these settings once the repositories are in place ?, so I can untar them in a future install. - Can you include this in future opensuse documentation ? The GPG keys are in the RPM DB, use 'rpm -qa | grep gpg-pubkey' to get the list. There is some such option noe in YaST, but I do not know whether this applies for repos, too. For the time being I'd recommend to do normal system updates instead of new installations. We probably do not want to documented "unsupported" installation scenarios in the manuals. This topic is more appropriate for the opensuse wiki. Maybe, you could post a feature request asking to make yast support it natively. The same way as it is or was possible to store package lists.
