Yes, for Java 1.5.0 the sources are there, only for 1.6.0 they are missing. I think it is sufficient, if they are only available via the NON-OSS repository, they don't need to be on any of the install media. Sun is releasing package after package. The Java 1.7 are AFAIK under GPL but not Java 1.6. AJ, is that a "not on the non-oss tree" or "now on the oss tree"? Please see Bug #265827, according to which the -src subpackages indeed can't be redistributed.
