Daniel help me already a lot by IRC. The intention of this bug is to provide all details to get the sync of notes and events working. a) I've adjusted /etc/hal/fdi/policy/20user/cell.fdi and /etc/resmgr.conf.d/50-cell.conf as suggested by http://en.opensuse.org/OpenSync/SyncML-OBEX-Client#Using_your_SyncML-OBEX-ce... b) For testing I called syncml-obex-client for text/x-vcard Contacts, text/x-vcalendar Events, text/plain Notes and text/x-vMessage SMS. This worked well. c) With msynctool the fun starts. Attached you find stdout and stderr for tweo different situations: aa) LC_ALL=C msynctool --sync nokiaE51 --filter-objtype event --filter-objtype \ note >msynctool_event_note.stdout 2>msynctool_event_note.stderr bb) LC_ALL=C msynctool --sync nokiaE51 >msynctool.stdout 2>msynctool.stderr bb) stoppes with 'system error' on the display. Sadly, we can't update it in factory right now because the old OpenSync 0.2x stack needs libsyncml 0.4.4.
