[Bug 292700] New: /usr/bin/ file reports Java files as perl5 module source text
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=292700 Summary: /usr/bin/file reports Java files as perl5 module source text Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: All OS/Version: openSUSE 10.2 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: mack@ifis.cs.tu-bs.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- /usr/bin/file out of file-4.17-27 package, reports Java source files as: A.java: Perl5 module source text as soon, as this java file has a packages statement in the beginning. E.g.: package de.th_mack.swiss; import javax.swing.JPanel; public class A extends JPanel { public A() { } } will be reported as perl5 module. Moreover, the line terminator 'CRLF' should be reported as well, when CRLF is used in this file. This is done only, if 'package' in the first line of the example file content is stripped (and it is 'somehow correctly' recognized as Java file). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
