Relevant hardware is a SU9400 Core2 processor, Intel GM45 chipset with 4500MHD GPU + dedicated ATI Radeon HD4330 (switchable): i have tried booting from both the cards, no difference, i get the same crash. The stacktrace is perfectly identical to that of the above screenshot, even the memory addresses. 2.6.37.1 kernel doesn't present this problem. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

This is useless because the important info is scrolled away. Could you try to boot also with vga=1 option or boot_delay=50 to capture the rest of the oops? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

In the original post, no other information was presented, scrolled or otherwise. The requested actions (vga=1 or boot_delay=50) performed with the exact same results as the original post. In each case (the original post/unmodified boot, vga=1 and boot_delay=50), depression of the enter key from GRUB presents a black screen (sans backlighting) followed by the image attached to the original post. Again, no other information was presented, scrolled or exhibited in any fashion. All earlier kernels continue to boot satisfactorily. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
