[Bug 587828] New: akonadi complains about mysql log containing errors (and doesn't work)
http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=587828 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=587828#c0 Summary: akonadi complains about mysql log containing errors (and doesn't work) Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.2 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Workspace AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: alex.richardson@gmx.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; de; rv:1.9.2.0) Gecko/20100115 SUSE/3.6.0-1.2 Firefox/3.6 When opening the log it shows following message: Table 'mysql.servers' doesn't exist (It also complains about some other tables missing) Luckily the solution to this problem can be found on KDE Userbase: On openSuSE 11.2 you have to run `mysql_install_db --datadir=$HOME/.local/share/akonadi/db_data/` After running that command everything works fine. However I only found out about that today and was always bothered by the akonadi diagnostic window popping up after boot telling me the MYSQL log contains errors. IMO this command should be run when installing akonadi. I have basically no experience in packaging, but shouldn't this be doable with RPM? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start akonadi and wait for the error message -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
