I suggest either name "KDE3" or "KDE Classic" for the pattern. From what I remember kdenetwork3-lan requires a running LISA daemon, so it would perhaps make sense to add kdenetwork3-lisa to requires.

By the way, anybody can see the KDE3 pattern now after enabling the KDE:KDE3 repository. This is a pattern .ymp file: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/KDE3/openSUSE_11.4/KDE3-DEFAU... Clicking it will install KDE3. By the way after creating this pattern I spotted that some KDE4 packages confusingly included in this pattern. This is due to invalid provides in KDE4 packages, I already submitted the fixes to KDE4 repository. Regarding KDE3 installation from media, inclusion on DVD is always difficult to implement due to permanent space shortage. On the other hand a separate KDE3 Live-CD could be a solution, but I have not enough skills curently for that.
