After first boot the same error message in boot.msg. Then I installed openSuSE 11.2 with option acpi=off on this machine. Now the error message above was not present anymore but unfortunately new other present. See attachment os112_acpi=off_boot-screen.jpg (dmesg with option -n seems not to be supported, therefore screen picture) With plugged PCI card this system is also freezing like that with enabled acpi. I afraid it's a BIOS problem. Notice: the address space collision of pci 0000:00:04.0 is not present if LAN on board is disabled in BIOS. The system with plugged WLAN PCI card is freezing all the same. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

I sampled a lot of things and made a detection. If the WLAN-Card is plugged but not configured its possible to boot and shutdown the system. If I try to save a configuration of WLAN-Card with yast system is freezing while saving. After reset and boot the saved configuration exist. Is a configuration saved with option "activating device on boot" and system try to connect via WLAN system is freezing while boot very often while shutdown always. Was the system start successful system works without problems and the WLAN-Card too. All setting I make now with yast and which have something to do with network or network interface let the system freezing while configuration saving. If I try to deactivat interface wlan0 via konsole whith command "ifconfig wlan0 down" system is freezing -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
