This works great for me: Open terminal, "su -", run "yast2 &", exit, exit, do something. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=205990 ------- Comment #4 from djais@novell.com 2006-09-20 13:24 MST ------- no, I open a terminal and than login with "su -" run "yast2 &" and than exit and exit again so that the terminal is closed. It is not possible to do something within the still open YaST window. You can click wherever you want, nothing happens. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

After exiting from su, any subsequent attempt to lauch a yast module will result in: Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server Xlib: No protocol specified -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
