Downloading with Kget they get stalled all the time and sometimes even can not be resumed by hand. In my case I could only get a working download via http://en.opensuse.org/Mirrors_Released_Version which could moreover make use of the full bandwith of my internet connection (switch server). My concern would be to offer a link to Mirrors_Released_Version fromout of software.opensuse.org/ for those people where the automatic download distribution from widehat.opensuse.org does not work as desired. Adding the link to the http://software.opensuse.org/ page would be useful, I agree. There *is* a link "Mirrors" already, which eventually leads there; but that is not exactly what you expected? I think it would be very useful to add a link to the "mirror list per file" next to *each* of the linked isos, in the form of http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/11.1/iso/openSUSE-11.1-DVD-i586.is... for openSUSE-11.1-DVD-i586.iso for instance. Other than that, it is of utmost importance though that you assist us in finding out which mirror is giving you problems. We absolutely depend on that info to maintain a healthy mirror ecosystem, regardless of whether a user is assigned automatically to a mirror or chooses one himself. Thus, could you please tell me your IP address, or which country you are in, or even better which mirror you were sent to? Recent versions of kget 3.5.10 release 21.11 are incapable of resuming (stalled or halted) downloads correctly most of the time. Since KDE3 is no longer maintained in this case a downgrade would be the only option (see http://en.opensuse.org/Kde3). At first the kget programmers have told me that this was a server issue but then I have tried with wget -c which has been working without problems. Unfortunately I can not say which server it was that has been causing download problems since I am now redirected to other local servers following the link at http://software.opensuse.org/ which I think is the better choice (at least the server having caused the download problems was not in the mirror list for Austria; it possibly was suse.lagis.xy - or anything similar; download location: Austria). Nevertheless the download from lagis has had become stalled overduely often perhaps because it was overwhelmed with work. Round robin local mirror selection as now is better. Concerning the Mirrors link that one could possibly not only be placed in the left sidebar but also in the "Get Latest openSUSE" Versions main section of http://software.opensuse.org/ before "License" and "Release Notes".
