https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=786030 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=786030#c0 Summary: mc 4.8 depicts a severe bug in remote ftp filesystem Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.2 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: Other AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: dieter.jurzitza@t-online.de QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:15.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/15.0.1 Starting with opensuse 12.2 mc depicts a severe bug in the ftp remote filesystem (that does not exist on opensuse 12.1 with mc 4.7: when descending into a remote fs deeper than 1 level I get thrown back into the first level. This is not acceptable and makes this feature unusuable. Returning to mc-4.7 from opensuse 12.1 fixes the behaviour Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. start mc 2. enter F9 FTP-Verbindung 3. sayftp5.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse 4. try to enter a subdirectory there. You get thrown back into ftp5.gwdg.de, you see only /pub /lost+found /.stats directory. Not all the directories that actually exist in that level. The same behaviour holds true when trying to enter any other subdirectory in this path. Actual Results: Entering a subdirectory on a ftp connection (ftp5.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse brings you into the main directory level (ftp5.gwdg.de) rather than i. E. into ftp5.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse/repositories Expected Results: Well, correct descending into subdirectories I could provide screenshots on request. This is not a local issue, I see the very same dependency on opensuse12.2 x64 in my office location (other network, other computer ....). mc-4.8 seems buggy. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
