https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=749177 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=749177#c0 Summary: server:messaging: ejabberd 2.1.8 is not compatible with erlang R15B Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE.org Version: unspecified Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.4 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: 3rd party software AssignedTo: nix@opensuse.org ReportedBy: fabien@crespel.net QAContact: opensuse-communityscreening@forge.provo.novell.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- Hello, The ejabberd package currently available in the server:messaging repository [1], derived from devel:languages:erlang [2], is currently in version 2.1.8. The erlang package from the same repo(s) is in version R15B, which is *incompatible* with ejabberd 2.1.8 as reported on upstream bug #EJAB-1521 [3]. When starting ejabberd on my openSUSE 11.4 server, the following message appears in the /var/log/ejabberd/ejabberd.log file: =ERROR REPORT==== 2012-02-26 13:15:47 === Error in process <0.105.0> on node 'ejabberd@localhost' with exit value: {{case_clause,{error,driver_incorrect_version}},[{ejabberd_app,init,0,[{file,"ejabberd_app.erl"},{line,109}]}]} Release Notes from ejabberd 2.1.10 [4] mention compatibility fixes with erlang R15B. It would seem the ejabberd package .spec file was correctly updated to 2.1.10 in devel:languages:erlang, but the build keeps failing with the following error: File /usr/src/packages/SOURCES/ejabberd-2.1.10.tar.gz: No such file or directory As a result, packages currently published in the aforementioned repositories are incompatible with each other and prevent running ejabberd on openSUSE.
