Symptoms: - no printer available in applications - no printer listed in YaST2 - printer /etc/cups has no printers.conf and no printcap file (only *.rpmsave) I will attach fresh y2logs. If you need logs from the system upgrade, you can find them on www.cboltz.de/tmp/, filename y2logs-packagemanager-after-systemanalyse.tgz (too big for bugzilla). I will also attach a tarball of /etc/cups/ before doing any changes in the printer configuration. Unfortunately, it isn't possible to convert the printer configuration from previous CUPS versions. You will have to re-configure your printer with YaST2 printer setup. These files did not exist after update on my system, but *.rpmsave and *.O. You can find a complete directory listing in the attached /etc/cups/ tarball. I missed that part (maybe because of the many bloating docbook commands :-). Anyway. Both files don't exist after an upgrade nor after an update installation. They are not good readable neither, and don't contain all the printer configuration data. Modifying those is also a bit tricky, and may under certain circumstances result in a loss of the modified data.
