One important detail: The offending KDE session is running on a Xephyr session which is running on top of the actual X session. Steps: 1. Start a KDE desktop session 2. Add a "Folder View" widget to the desktop 3. Change the target location to an SFTP or SMB URL (e.g,. sftp://example.com/me, or smb://mymachine/Documents) Expected: The contents of the target URL would be displayed. Actual: No change to the view. The previous contents, if any, remain in place.
