[Bug 381670] New: Build service package search gives openSUSE 10. 3 download page.
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=381670 Summary: Build service package search gives openSUSE 10.3 download page. Product: openSUSE.org Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: wiki AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: volker3204@paradise.net.nz QAContact: adrian@novell.com Found By: --- I take it from a comment elsewhere that http://software.opensuse.org/search is supposed to have a buildservice package search. All I get is a openSUSE 10.3 download page. Not so useful. What it says is "if you like to download 10.3 instead with some interactive whatnot, enable javascript". The page is perfect for downloading 10.3 so I have no use for more download whatnots (and therefore don't spend time exploring them). What I was expecting was a page to download factory, but all I see is everything about 10.3. I am also having issues with being forced to use javascript on a simple user-friendly wiki like opensuse.org, so I don't use it. All other wiki pages and downloading stable openSUSE shows that this is possible. Why the stuffup for factory? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Too much functionatility had to be double implemented or to rip of the page. However, we can do create a more significant warning message about disabled JavaScript. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Seems that the <noscript> part (the download table) is still part of the download skin. This is a bug, because it is only need for a single page (the "Get openSUSE Distribution" page). If JavaScript is not needed for the package search, we also should not require it. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
