Commercial applications of this software may require a license from the University of British Columbia. ------------------------------- So maybe this is why autopano-sift-c it's not in the oss repo. Another option: Implement dummy (error message only) autopano and set the autopano-dummy as default in preferences. It could say: "Autopano tool is not installed or defined in preferences. You have to align images manually." But I guess we cannot legally recommend patent encumbered package from Packman. All open source packages known to me use patented SIFT algorithm: autopano, autopano-sift and autopano-sift-c.
