https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=227473 ------- Comment #7 from tiwai@novell.com 2007-02-08 04:37 MST ------- Let me repeat: the problem of T60 is irrelevant. Don't put noises but rather open another bug -- but at best report and fix on the upstream since it's a bug in the upstream. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=227473 ------- Comment #8 from fred.blaise@gmail.com 2007-02-08 05:33 MST ------- What do you mean by "the problem of T60 is irrelevant"? The subject of the bug mentions "intel 82801G (ICH7 fanily) soundcard detected correct but no sound from speakers".. ok, I got a t60 (could be any pc/brand/manufacturer), with that chip in it, and it's not working. I understand that this is coming from upstream, but maybe you people at novell have contacts that could speed up the resolution of this bug? As per comment #4, I have reported the bug upstream. Feel free to check it out, and to provide your knowledgeable comments to it, since you are the assignee of the bug at Novell. You should be able to provide more details comments than I can. As for now, I have seen nothing. Thanks. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=227473 tiwai@novell.com changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|REOPENED |RESOLVED Resolution| |FIXED ------- Comment #13 from tiwai@novell.com 2007-04-20 07:12 MST ------- As I wrote, the T60 is a DIFFERENT HARDWARE from the topic here. Don't mix up different bugs. If you have problems with T60, please open another bug. But, before that, make sure that you enabled modem on BIOS. And, even if it still doesn't work, pass probe_mask=1 option to snd-hda-intel module. It's known that Lenovo *60 laptops have pretty many BIOS bugs. As, 10.3 has now 2.6.21-rc* kernel, the original bug should have been fixed. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
