http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=615685 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=615685#c0 Summary: Builtin serial wacom tablet stopped working, tools to setup or diagnose are removed Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.3 Version: Factory Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: X.Org AssignedTo: bnc-team-xorg-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: christoph@maxiom.de QAContact: xorg-maintainer-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Konqueror/4.4; Linux) KHTML/4.4.86 (like Gecko) I updated using zypper dup to 11.3, after a reboot, the builtin tablet stopped working. On previous 11.2 I could use sax2 to setup the correct internal serial port for the tablet, but this tool is no longer available. Additionally, my xorg.conf got deleted. Also, all wacom tools to diagnose the ports are deleted. What I tried so far: - installing wacom kmp (I never needed this before, but well, there was hope :) - xinput --list shows nothing tablet related - cat /dev/ttyS4 shows no activity, so it could be a serial port/kernel problem The relevant section from hal-device about FUJ02e5 (which is the tablet): 7: udi = '/org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/pnp_FUJ02e5_serial_platform_4' linux.hotplug_type = 2 (0x2) (int) linux.subsystem = 'tty' (string) info.subsystem = 'tty' (string) info.product = 'PnP Device (FUJ02e5)' (string) linux.sysfs_path = '/sys/devices/pnp0/00:04/tty/ttyS4' (string) info.parent = '/org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/pnp_FUJ02e5' (string) info.udi = '/org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/pnp_FUJ02e5_serial_platform_4' (string) serial.originating_device = '/org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/pnp_FUJ02e5' (string) serial.device = '/dev/ttyS4' (string) serial.port = 4 (0x4) (int) serial.type = 'platform' (string) info.category = 'serial' (string) info.capabilities = { 'serial' } (string list) linux.device_file = '/dev/ttyS4' (string) What are the next steps to debug the problem? Which information do you need?
