If the latter, would it be possible to retry this from text console login? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Needs --vbe_save to restore the console screen. X11 works fine without. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Did the "--vbe_post --vbe_mode" combination not bring back the light? Usually this works on most intel-based machines. Did you already try that? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Yes, "s2ram -f -p -m" works fine. I noticed on one reboot recently that I had ext3 errors - orphan or empty nodes - could they have been caused by the s2ram or suspend testing, or do they have another cause? Thanks David -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

The ext3 errors can be caused by failed s2ram tests - e.g. if the machine crashed during those tests. If they do not appear frequently but only after a crash, they are nothing to be worried about (AFAIK - i am not a FS expert ;-) Thanks for confirming. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

I now added these options to the upstream package, and they will appear on openSUSE 11.0beta3 (and in http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:seife/openSUSE_10.3, make sure the package has a date of today or later) I'll close this as "fixed in 11.0", thanks again for the report. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
