But this addresses only comment #1. Comment #0 is not directly affected by it. AJ: Some things to verify: you're running compiz in a gnome environment I assume? If so, can you start ccsm, select 'preferences' and check which Backend is activated (I have GConf Configuration Backend on my system). In case it's gconf, check in gconf-editor the keys /apps/compiz/plugins/cubeaddon/screen0/options/{bottom,top}_images top should be opensuse.png for the logo to show. If this is not set, we'll have to find why they are gone and if they are set we'd need to find why they are not shown / read. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

I'm running compiz in a GNOME environment. Backend: Flat-file configuration backend. And no other backend is available for choosing. libcompizconfig-backend-gconf is not installed on my system. It is not part of any pattern and therefore does not get installed. Should it get installed as part of the "Desktop effects" pattern? Should I install it? ccsm shows me under "Desktop Cube" -> "Appearence": Cube Caps and Skydome which are both disabled. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

I would not remember having it installed once manually. So I assume it used to be part of a pattern or was pulled in by something else. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Manually adding the image to "Desktop Cube" "Skydome" shows me the openSUSE logo (not sure whether that's the right place to add it). -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
