However, that installer does not expect to be called from that environment. It needs a /etc/install.inf and does not use settings from the live environment such as: - NetworkManager connection (even if connected, it shows its own setup screen) - zypper config (repos, gpg keys) It would be great if a way to call the installer more easily, like with a commandline switch, could be implemented. In any case: the yast live-installer seems to be practically unmaintained. If fixes are required, please submit pull requests.
This has _nothing_ to do with the live installer at all, the opposite is the case. The target is that the normal installer is launched from the live environment. I told you I didn't understand what you mean. :-) Well, it should be fairly easy to get the install workflow going: - make sure you have all the yast packages we have during install - create /etc/install.inf (use an existing one and adjust the zypprepourl entry) - create an empty file /.instsys.config so yast thinks it's in install mode - get the matching /control.xml (the one from dvd) Then it should basically work.
