https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=847059 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=847059#c3 --- Comment #3 from Harald Mueller-Ney <hmuelle@suse.com> 2013-11-25 11:50:13 CET --- Created an attachment (id=568923) --> (http://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=568923) Script for backlight workaround including debug output. I tried KOTD: vmlinuz-3.12.1-1.g1e06fbe-desktop With this kernel I do not need to use nomodeset but backlight is of. Workarounds I found via google search (first set intel_backlight/brightness to zero) does not work for me using this kernel. I used script for debugging (see attachement) for testing the workaround. So 3.12.1 has a fix for the modeset issues but still not usable as backlight does not work and cannot be set. Currently best option is 12.3 kernel -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
