Apologies for the delayed response!
I do not use NIS but - according to the btrfs snapshots I've got - I've had
'+::::::' at the end of my /etc/passwd file since at least June 01 of 2017 (this is the oldest btrfs snapshot I've got).
Is that helpful?
Yes it does, thanks. The '+::::::' marker is causing troubles, see bsc#1085062. I'm wondering why the marker has been added if you do not use NIS but the bug is definitely a duplicate of bsc#1085062. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 1085062 *** -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
