Assume that you are currently listening to song A while in Shuffle mode. If you press skip/forward to bypass song A it will display the title and album art for song B and start playing song C. What version of Banshee do you have?
The default version from OpenSUSE 10.2, which is 0.11.2. It is the helix-banshee-foobar variant of Banshee.
