The install starts fine and detects the hard drive etc and when it reboots after the initial file copy the screen just goes blank and nothing happens. Pressing Ctrl+Alt+Backspace twice has no effect and Ctrl+Alt+Del also has no effect. Tried booting with splash=0 and 3 to get into runlevel 3 also resulted in a blank screen. Going to try with openSuSE 11.1 to see if it works. I am raising the priority as this is a regression. I've the same server, running ubuntu but an "upgrade" to 11.2 is already planned ! For me this bug is closeable..
