Which results in new tmp files. Which results in them being indexed. Which .... you get the idea. nepomuk fights itself. This, combined with bug 679592 (also not fixed since 4.6) means the system grinds to a halt. First, bug 679592 should be fixed. It's very important. Two, nepomuk should ignore any directory in (or under) $TMPDIR, $KDEVARTMP or $KDETMP, including resolving symlinks to make sure.
