The content of the file is: mktexpk --mfmode / --bdpi 600 --mag 1+57/600 --dpi 657 aicmmi10 mktexpk --mfmode / --bdpi 600 --mag 1+0/600 --dpi 600 aicmmi8 If executed, the two commands give a lot of messages ending with something like: Premature end of file grep: aicmmi10.log: No such file or directory mktexpk: `gsftopk aicmmi10 657' failed to make aicmmi10.657pk. And actually the "ai" directory is not there either. P.S.: The problem was not present in openSUSE 10.3.
