I hit return, and get the dialog box requiring the swipe. I can't press alt-o or return to make that box go away and activate the fingerprint reader, I have to physically press the dialog box button with a left-click mouse action (I should be able to do any of those, no?). The reader only activates once the dialog box has been cleared. Once I've pressed the OK button with a mouse left-click, the fingerprint reader activates and authenticates me ok. Having to use the mouse click to get rid of the dialog is frustrating at best. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

After resuming from suspend, password field appears. I enter password and see 'Checking'. This doesn't change until I swipe my finger over the fingerprint reader. Then it works as expected. Now it is not necessary to enter a password. But as in comment #2, after hitting Enter with a blank password the dialog box requiring the finger swipe appears and it cannot be OK'd by Alt+o or hitting Enter again, as it should. Only a mouse click removes the pop-up, allowing the fingerprint scan to work. - Dialog box should respond to Enter and to Alt+o. The login still does not succeed with password alone. If I hurt my finger, or the scanner breaks, I cannot login, even if I type my password. The same way swiping now works without password, - password needs to work without requiring fingerprint swipe. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

KDE login then works with fingerprint without any requirement to click OK, but typing password then requires fingerprint. So cannot use password alone. Per original report I agree that "Login should succeed with either password OR fingerprint swipe alone." -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
