[Bug 1208674] New: Gnome triggers mount of all NFS shares in /etc/fstab with x-systemd-automount, causing login hang
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1208674 Bug ID: 1208674 Summary: Gnome triggers mount of all NFS shares in /etc/fstab with x-systemd-automount, causing login hang Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: GNOME Assignee: gnome-bugs@suse.de Reporter: David@WalkerStreet.info QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created attachment 865126 --> http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/attachment.cgi?id=865126&action=edit Relevant /etc/fstab entries I've defined four NFS mounts in /etc/fstab on my laptop using the x-systemd-automount option so that they are not mounted unless I need them. The NFS server is in my home network, using private IP addresses. I'll attach the relevant /etc/fstab entries. This has worked well for the past few years, but recently Gnome hangs during login when I'm not at home (as my private IP addresses are not accessible). Looking at the logs, I see Gnome triggers automounts for all of the unmounted NFS shares when I log in, causing the hang. The only workaround I've found is power the system off, boot, comment the /etc/fstab entries (without logging in via Gnome), and reboot again. (FYI, setfont triggers an automount for /mnt/DWHome prior to logging in via Gnome, which seems strange, but does not seem to cause any observable problem.) Any ideas? I've attached logs that seem relevant. Let me know what else will help. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
